help us meet our goal of $134,600 for the 2026 year

Hosting Families

We host families on the edge of burnout in their ministry and give them restorative rest, quality family time, and counsel/encouragement in how to proceed in their calling. A family recommended by the Pastoral Wellness staff of the Georgia Baptist Convention will come to our home on quiet acreage for five days. During that time, we confirm their moment of salvation, specifics of their calling, and what circumstances have led to their current state of burnout. We then provide one excursion per day that they have chosen from our list of curated experiences, all meals, gas gift card for travel, one family dinner at a nice restaurant, one individual lunch for the father with Juan, one lunch for the wife with Melodee, a couples dinner with the parents, childcare, a gift bag with meaningful goodies and gift cards to enjoy, and an abundance of time for questions to be asked and contemplated in order for them to be encouraged and restored in their ministry or realize they may not truly be called to vocational or full time ministry.  The cost of this is approximately $5,000 per family.

Hosting Staff Dinners

We don’t want ministry leaders to get to the point of burnout, so we employ preventative measures in hosting dinners for ministry leaders and their spouses which provide comforting food, a meaningful gift, encouragement, contemplative questions, worship, and prayer. This small Sabbath moment can help bolster them against the schemes of the enemy that are always aimed at the shepherds.  The cost of this is approximately $500 per dinner.

Sending Worship Leaders

We provide a paid network of substitutes for small church worship pastors to take a Sabbath from leading on a Sunday. Most small churches aren’t able to provide a sabbatical for anyone on staff but the pastor. Because of our background in music and church ministry, we understand that the most visible and sometimes abused staff member, other than the pastor, is the worship pastor. They are also in the pulpit every Sunday, teaching during worship through the things they say and pray as well as sing. They need Sabbath rest just as much as the pastor.  The cost of this is approximately $425 per substitute.
